Arrivals
Westminster - Airport Pick Up
What To Expect
If you have shared your flight details with CIS Abroad and are arriving during the designated time, you will be met at the London Heathrow airport to be brought directly to your accommodation at the University of Westminster.
After making your way through customs (remember, use the E-Gates and have your passport AND Westminster offer letter in your carryon bag) and collect your checked luggage, you’ll step out into the terminal. Depending upon where you land, you may need to make your way to the meeting point in Terminal 3 (Arrivals) which is located near the seating area, next to the Tourist Services (big round table in the middle of the Terminal). Your onsite team will be waiting for you by the seating area. If you land early and the team has not arrived, please take a seat and notify the team of your arrival by sending a WhatsApp message to the Westminster WhatsApp group (you can connect to the free wifi at the airport). Please make sure to use the electronic E-gates when you proceed through immigration, but know that you may be asked, randomly, to meet with a Border Agent to enter.
If you have any issues upon arrival and cannot locate the onsite team, please send a WhatsApp message or call Anna or James.

Roehampton- Airport Pick Up
What To Expect
University of Roehampton staff and students will be at London Heathrow Terminal 3 to pick you up after your flight.
After making your way through customs (remember, use the E-Gates and have your passport AND Roehampton offer letter in your carryon bag) and collect your checked luggage in baggage claim, you’ll step out into the terminal. If your flight does not arrive at Terminal 3 you will have to make your way there after you collect your luggage. If you cannot find a staff member in the airport, you may call the following number to make contact with the Roehampton pickup team: +44 20 8392 7254 (or 020 8392 7254 if you are calling from a phone that already has a UK SIM card in it). If you are arriving after the Roehampton pick up window has ended, please ensure that you have plans in place to make your way to campus independently. There is a taxi area outside every terminal. If you need further guidance, please message the CIS Abroad WhatsApp group or call +44 (0) 7930154177 Please make sure to use the electronic E-gates when you proceed through immigration, but know that you may be asked, randomly, to meet with a Border Agent to enter.

If No One is at the Pick up Location
If you get to the arrivals hall and nobody's there, wait a moment. We may just be helping students into a taxi and will be right back. If no one is there after 20-30 minutes, please call the CIS Abroad Emergency phone +1 413 210 7091 (And check that you are in T3!)
The airport has WIFI so you can connect and call via WhatsApp.
You can also email us at emergency@cisabroad.com but remember to refresh often to be able to see our response.
Flight Delays or Cancellations
If your flight is delayed, please email emergency@cisabroad.com right away to keep us updated and let us know your new flight details. We will be checking that email consistently on your arrival date, along with your flight status.
If by the time you have landed, and you have not received an email response from us, please call the emergency phone ( +1 413 210 7091) to inform us that you have landed and we will give you directions on where to go.
Important - Staff will not arrange your transportation. You will need to arrange your own transportation into the city at your own expense..
Lost Baggage
If your bags decide to take a later flight, don’t panic. If the airline loses your luggage you must file a report with the airline while you are still in the baggage area. It is much more difficult to file this report once you’ve left the baggage claim area. The information you will need to provide on that form include the following:
- NAME (you can give your name)
- PHONE # (give Anna Bermani's number: 07930154177)
- ADDRESS (give them your address- see below)
In the comments you can request delivery from 9am-5pm. Have your bag sent to your residence and make sure to let the front desk know that they will be delivering it during the day.
The airline baggage claim service will usually give you a website and a code where you can track your misplaced bag if you want updates.

Early Arrivals
If you arrive before your program start date, you are responsible for yourself until the day the program begins. This includes your transportation, housing, meals and safety. Don't worry, many students choose this option and exploring the city for a day or two on your own can be a fun way to start your program and beat the jet lag before things start!
Late Arrivals
In case of flight delays or cancellations, send a WhatsApp to your site director with your updated arrival information. If you miss the airport pickup, you will be responsible for getting yourself to the city center (including the cost, which may be up to 120 GBP). If you miss the required Orientation Session, please check the WhatsApp group description for a link to the presentation.
